Optimizing Topaz Video AI Performance for a New Workflow

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently updated my workflow and started running Topaz Video AI on an AI-powered PC that I built specifically for creative tasks. Overall, the experience has been great, but I’m still trying to fine-tune my settings to get the smoothest possible performance, especially when switching between different enhancement models.

Right now, I’m experimenting with upscaling older 1080p footage to 4K, and I’m wondering which model setups most of you prefer for balancing speed and quality. Do you usually stick to preset profiles, or do you manually adjust parameters like frame interpolation, enhancement strength, or grain settings?

I’d love to hear how other users structure their workflow, including any tips on batch processing or ideal export settings. The community’s insights have been incredibly helpful in the past, so I’m looking forward to learning more from your experiences!

The use of certain models or workflows will be dependent on the source content being loaded in and what it needs for enhancement.

A lot of users have found their workflows for specific DVD collections or TV shows and content from trial and error, and fine–tuned the results to their specific tastes and viewing styles via manual settings, or multi-pass runs.

For quick processing tasks on various file I start with a preset and then move on and tweak from there if something looks off.
