Nvidia Driver Fixed 9/20 Studio Drivers

Today, 9/20, Nvidia released new Studio Drivers

I quickly checked them with Sharpen and Denoise AI and they appear to work.

I didn’t have a lot time to test them throughly, but I think they work.

Please add your technical environment by opening DeNoise AI or Sharpen AI, go to the Help menu, select Graphics info and click on Copy then paste the info in this thread.

DeNoise AI continues to fail intermittently for me. The last working version of DeNoise AI was 2.4.2.

Application & Version: Topaz DeNoise AI Version 3.2.0
Operating System: Windows 10 Version 2009

As you have a RTX model, downgrade the driver to 462.xx (Studio) from May to see if that helps. It seems that not all RTX models are affected.

The 462.59 driver did not work. I’ve submitted a support ticket with detailed information.

The only workaround I have is to change the DeNoise preferences to the motherboard’s Intel UHD Graphics 630 driver. Slooooow.

I just tried Sharpen AI again, as a PS Filter and did not get an error.
Using the Nvidia driver listed below.
Preferences set to the Video Card with Medium Ram usage.

Application & Version: Topaz Sharpen AI Version 3.2.2

Operating System: Windows 10 Version 2009

Graphics Hardware: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER/PCIe/SSE2

OpenGL Driver: 3.3.0 NVIDIA 472.12

CPU RAM: 32681 MB

Video RAM: 8192 MB

Preview Limit: 6636 Pixels

Ok. I got an error, but I found the trick that makes my system work.
If Auto Update Preview is ON, my system freezes.
But with Auto Update Preview OFF the driver works.
I just have to manually update.
(at least with Sharpen AI) Haven’t tried Denoise.

Denoise AI works perfectly with this drive, even with Auto Update Preview ON.
But Sharpen AI freezes with Auto Update ON, but works with it OFF.
(at least with my system) your results may vary

Denoise, Sharpen, Gigapix, and VEAI work flawless with NVIDIA 472.12 studio driver on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650. No difference in performance (GPU 80 - 100%; GPU memory ~2.2 of 4 MB; CPU 3 -6%), no crashes.

50% or better speed boost for me and no errors, older Dual GTX 970 cards on large files from a Canon R5
