New update to version 7. Resoution error for any video inputs

I have just done the version 7 update. I’m now getting “resolution error” for all sources that I’m trying to process. The error is telling me to update my Nvidia driver. I don’t want to get into changing a perfectly good video driver that worked 2 weeks ago (before this version 7 update). What do I do? Can I back-track to the older version that worked perfectly?

You can roll back to a previous version of the app if you would like. We keep the installers linked here on the Video AI releases - community page.

Otherwise I would recommend going to the NVIDIA drivers update page and updating your Studio Driver to at least v572.83.

Kyle,
I can’t thank you enough for the fast response to my query. I’ve had lots of success with the video AI until this afternoon. I went through the latest version 7 update, and on my first try at processing an MP4 file these resolution errors began. No matter what type of video I attempted to process, the same error occurred.
I’m afraid to “mess” with my Nvidia driver for my Samsung curved display, as if something goes wrong, I have no computer left. Will updating the NVIDIA driver possibly hurt my PC’s Samsung display: (49" Odyssey G9 G95C DQHD 240Hz 1ms(GtG) DisplayHDR 1000 Curved Gaming Monitor)?
I will talk with Dell also to see what they recommend. I can’t thank you enough, and will respond back to you with some results.

You can create a Snapshot of current Windows state, do a Windows System Restore Point. Then install gpu driver and test, if you are not happy you can easy and fast go back. Restorepoint does only affect OS State/Programs(Registry) and Drivers, it keeps user stored data

Hi Peter, no updating the driver should not negatively effect your monitor. You can always roll back on driver versions as well from Nvidia as well if you choose.

As Mayday mentioned as well you can do the Windows System Restore Point option to be safe.

Thanks for the help, I updated my NVidia drivers, and Video AI now works perfectly.
