Mosaic results

I have used Mosiac several times as a test but while it is good for some old photos it can’t handle images with a lot of spots, etc. I have my own technique Using Nano banana flash that is far superior. I’ve attached photos done with Mosiac and my restoration. Why isn’t there a feedback page for Mosaic?

I’ve never used Discord and when I click on the link you provided It won’t let me accept the invite. I’m really not interested at this time.
I also think that the Topaz offerings should be split into two bundles, one for images and one for video. The costs are too high and many of us don’t do video. The photo/art bundle should include Bloom, Mosaic, Topaz Photo and Gigapixel.

I will remove this post soon since I want you to read my reply first.

Hi. Are you trying that link from work? Or, at home? Someone else above mentioned their company blocks access to Discord (and other social media sites).

But even for those of us who can access it, we’ve expressed negative opinions about using it above.

Interesting idea about bifurcating the offerings and charging $80 or less/yr for the Photo/Art bundle. I’d never use the video stuff, personally. Tried it way back when it was being intro’d to provide feedback. But I don’t work with video either.

Robyn, I’m retired so I don’t work. With MG, I couldn’t work anyway. I’m not interested in Discord. I think that Topaz needs to split the bundle with a lower price for each, probably $110 each bundle. We get a discount, the price for new subscriptions now is $444/year. Topaz needs to improve Mosaic too, but I’m sure they will.

Except the total Studio (3) bundle is $163/yr. for “Founders”. So $110 would be much too significant a proportion for only half the offerings. That’s why I mentioned $80/yr. adjusted for each if split.

The founder’s amount varies a bit. For me it is $173/year. I was considering the amount for new subscribers. For us founders $80 to $85/year for the photo bundle would be good.

Agreed, Discord ‘is not very good’, why is it being used as a support channel for Topaz? It gives off a very amateurish vibe, to use Discord, for a company that I once considered respectable.

@dakota.wixom Why fragment your user support across forums and Discord, which almost nobody here wants to use?

Hi Artisan.

Am I missing something here you’re currently paying the Founders $173 a year which was the combined upgrade price for both Topaz Photo and Gigapixel not the full price and you’re now saying because you don’t use Video that’s to much and Topaz should have a further two options one for Photographers and one for Videographer Founders members and it should be around $80 a year for either

But, you were happy to pay $173 in the past for two applications what’s changed and that price isn’t going up anytime soon so, if you don’t use Video great don’t use it it’s not costing you any more than before and besides, what about the Founder members who currently use both and for example, the members who don’t use Video now but may want to dabble in the future you want them all to pay double.

Topaz offered Founder Members one hell of a deal for the price of two previous applications and you want to give half of it back and in return you also, want Topaz to reduce the price from $173 to $80 knocking another $90 off the price you were paying previously.

Let’s leave things as they are and not rock the boat.

On top of all that, you would like new customers to pay around $110 for either a Photography or Videography Bundle. Topaz may introduce a Loss Leader Plan similar to Adobe’s Photography Plan or even Blackmagic’s DaVinci Resolve which is similar to the bundles you’re asking for but that’s up to them.

Alternatively, it could be argued we Founders are the Loss Leader group for at least the time being.

These Topaz prices aren’t set in stone by any stretch of the imagination for new customers because, there’s no doubt Topaz will offer promotions during the year and you know this because, why do you think these changes happend before November and the Christmas sales period so, expect discounts

But also bear in mind, the old Upgrade Licences have gone it’s Subscription only now either Monthly or Yearly dependent on the customers needs.

In light of that, Topaz Subscription Prices are based on the full price applications not upgrade prices and Topaz have increased the prices for example, Topaz Photo is $254 a year paying a monthly subscription or $199 a year with a yearly subscription so, for new customers if they pay for a yearly subscription that’s $50 off paying for twelve months individually and as you know Topaz Photo includes Denoising, Sharpening, Upscaling and more therefore, a further saving on individual subscriptions.

So, hasn’t Topaz Photo and Photo AI always been Topaz’s Photography Option especially if you again compare them the with price of the individual Denoise, Sharpen, Upscale and even Express Subscriptions it’s still a good deal.

I don’t want to get involved with the politics of Subscriptions advantages, disadvantages, good or bad but, one of the points for Subscriptions is to generate extra revenue, and for some of that revenue to be ploughed back into future development which can only benefit us all and your proposal is for Topaz to greatly reduce the subscriptions revenue to less than the revenue they were generating previously, your proposals would effectively cripple Topaz and as a result we would all loose

Andy

What you are missing is that a subscription is a rental, not ownership. Of course a subscription should be cheaper than a purchase. Each year you have to buy the subscription again and if you stop you have nothing. Many of us don’t do video so half of the Studio bundle is just a waste.

Topaz should split the Studio into two packages as I mentioned. The full price of $444 a year at present is too high and few will take it. I agree that $173 would be acceptable if I owned the photo products. Lets not forget that even though Gigapixel and Topaz Photo are great products they are specialized. ON1 can upscale, denoise and sharpen as well and do many other photo enhancements.

I like Topaz and presently use Bloom (which often freezes at 70 to 90% and is slow) and Gigapixel. For photo restoration I can easily do better than Mosaic, which hopefully will improve. I think $85/year is a fair rental price for a photo bundle.
