I got at least one of two things wrong with this frame: shutter speed on the slow side, and too far from my target. Perhaps too vigorous a movement (aka: jerky) in my attempts to track the bird.
When the original frame came out of PhotoLab, the bird was quite soft, and very small.
Reframing in TPAI and sharpening left the bird still quite soft.
OTOH, using super focus gave a result that looked too much “like a painting” - a remark that my grandchildren have made about previous super focus assisted shots. This even with the focus boost set to “none”.
What to do? I exported both versions as TIF (I am fortunate to have a decent amount of SSD space) and loaded them into Affinity Photo 2. This allowed me to blend the two versions - super focus on top at 65% opacity. Here is the composite, which I like rather better.
