In Photo AI 3.2.2, sometimes faces are chosen that are not wanted while faces that are wanted have not been selected. Please add ability to manually add/delete faces in the ‘Recover Faces’ module.
This feature has been requested in 2023 but not yet added.
Thanks!
Yes, you can of course do precisely that. If a face has a yellow box, click on it to deselect it. You can also decide if you want to select “All Faces” or those that are “In Subject”:
Thanks for replying. What I meant was faces that do not have a box around them, that is, ones that may not be recognized by the AI. Even with ‘All faces’ chosen, sometimes certain ones do not have a box so I want the ability to add that box around a face so that you can click it to turn yellow.
For deleting faces, I had forgotten simply deselecting them (senior’s moment!!)
I guess you have a point, although I have tended top find the opposite to be the case. In this group photo, initially only 33 of the faces had yellow outlines. I was able to add the rest; however, there was one example where there was a grey box but no face!
Can you show an example of where faces have no box at all?
Interesting…sorry I cannot go back in my archive of saved edits to locate ones where there was no box at all; I just don’t have the time when I am busy with a huge scan & restore project. Fortunately most times faces are identified & have the grey box ready to choose but there have been 15-20 in which there was no grey box even in the ‘All’ category. In those kinds of cases I want to be able to add the box manually.
Other than those instances, I am pleased with the results on the old scanned images.
I agree that, if indeed, faces are missed it should be possible to add manually. I can certainly do that with the Portrait feature in On1 Photo Raw. I believe its v2025, due soon, will have a face restore feature too. It will be interesting to see how it compares.
I will vote for your suggestion!
Thanks for your vote!
I also use ON1 & am eagerly awaiting v2025! Then we will see…
