MacOS Basic Text Editors are running slow (input/scrolling) when video is upscaling

I have recently updated to version v3.3.2 on macOS 12.6.7 - and while it’s upscaling a video all my text editors slow down when scrolling and input. Even my browser input url.

I have tried to change the Mac Memory Usage to 60% in the Preferences → Processing but still no luck. The AI processor is set to the graphics card.

Please continue to lower your memory usage.

Also, how much RAM does your Mac have?

I have lowered the memory usage to 25% but still have the same issue.

Plus I have 16GB of ram.

I will change from GFX Card to CPU next to see if this could be the issue.

Is there an archive of older versions V3 I can test against?

I have tested it out and using the CPU instead of the GFX card takes longer to AI upscale but now the text editor works fine for scrolling etc.

So I am not sure if there is a way I could limit the GFX card usage?

Also tested the same using v2.6.4 and it worked fine using GFX with the text editor scrolling etc.

v2.6.4 is built on an entirely different code base and has less stringent requirements. As for RAM, 16GB is our bare minimum for compatibility. It is likely that you may be maxing out your RAM or getting very close to it. You can take a look at the activity monitor which will give you a better idea of what is using the most RAM.

Okay I will check it out and get back to you.
