Mac-Support für Starlight Mini

Is there a timetable / plan to release Mac-Support für Starlight Mini?

Thank you.

Umm, there already is (albeit majorly broken in the last Topaz Video 1.0.3).

Thank you for letting me know. It means users needed to change from Topaz Video AI to Topaz Video which means you have to pay monthly instead of buying it.
For Topaz Video AI is no local Starlight Mini planed, right?

No. Which IMO is quite a major issue as NVIDIA users did get this in their legacy „lifetime“ apps but Apple Silicon and AMD users (which paid the same price) not.

Unfortionatly even Topaz Video 1.0.4 dont support Starlight : “This model is only available on the cloud.”
Any plan when it will be available on the MAC´s too?

And what about the online version of Starlight? I can’t even find the option for that on the Mac version. I meant there where a few free credits for a short clip to test it. The same for the other new generative (Astra?) model.

??
As said before Starlight is available on AppleSilicon.
If you don’t have it there are two possible reasons:

  • you don’t fulfill the hardware requirements
  • (more likely) You don’t have the right subscription. To be able to locally use Starlight you need a “Pro” license or “founder” status. This is true for Nvidia as well, btw.

Or do you mean Starlight sharp (which really isn’t there for local rendering on the Mac).

Topaz Support replied:

“At this time, the Topaz Video team does not have plans to add local Starlight Sharp support for Mac— the reason being that the Mac architecture is not designed to run models like this.”

So you do mean Starlight sharp.

Starlight (formerly mini) does work on Apple Silicon - even though they broke it in the last two releases.

Besides in those few clips I’ve seen so far I nearly always preferred Starlight mini to Starlight sharp - and often even to the first „big“ Starlight.
