Leelanau,MI - May 2009

A

When post from “Michigander” showed up in my Topaz Discussion email this morning, that inspired me to go back and look at some photos I shot when I did a road trip around Lake Michigan (up the Michigan side, down the Wisconsin side) back in the spring of 2009. This is somewhere on the Leelanau Peninsula… a big old “Mama” barn and two little “baby barns.”

The coloring I got from a preset in MacPhun’s Luminar (sorry, that’s what I was trying to do when I couldn’t get the file to open in Studio) and some graduate filters in Lightroom, but the “paint” effect was done with a modified “Cezanne” preset in Impression 2.

I’m using this for one of the desktop wallpapers on my 27" 4K display, hence the 16:9 aspect ratio,

Nice job with the lighting on this!

Beautiful rural scene.

Yup - You photographed the D. H. Day Barn near the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. It is a beauty. Somewhere I do have some photos of it but none as beautiful as yours. This is not my photo - - -
