Topaz Photo v1.3.0 resolves the issue you flagged with portrait-oriented files from Apple Photos to Topaz Photo.
You can download this update by either using the in-app update option at the top right corner of your application window or by using the direct installer link below

**Important Workflow Notes**: When working with RAW files, the best results come from importing them directly into Topaz Photo as a standalone app. This allows RAW Denoise to apply correctly and allows you to keep the file in its RAW format (when using the Apple Photos plugin, it converts your files to JPEG instead). Using the standalone application with RAW files gives you the option to export your file as a DNG and then import that DNG file into Apple Photos.-
- If you are editing JPEG files, then using the Apple Photos plugin is a great option! Just keep in mind that the Apple Photos plugin does not support batch processing. If you would like to batch process your images, try using the standalone application for a more efficient workflow.
