I’ve an M1 Max and it’s already working hard editing in final cut pro.
In the meantime I borrowed an M3 max to do upscaling and found that iris lq was barely faster.
I’m also having some problems with upscaling where the background shifts despite denoising and I don’t know how to fix.
I’d like to try vapoursynth but I don’t have a PC and I’m not great with command line. I thought perhaps I could use a server service if there were one?
I’d also like to try various things with Topaz lab but I’m finding none of them successful with the background and I suspect it’s just too poor to get much more from the face with Iris.
Basically anything to not have to leave my mac for four days processing.
