I cant install Topaz Studio 2
Windows or Mac
I believe that Topaz Studio 2 was released prior to Photo AI (which is referenced in the orig. post). Itâs an older, legacy product.
Is that what this post is referring to? If yes, the person who wants to reinstall that product will need not only the installer (from their TL website account page) but also the license number associated with that productâs purchase. Thereâs no guarantee it will install into current systems even with that info.
Or, is it referring to Topaz Studio 3 - the current Studio Collection products that include Topaz Photo, Topaz Gigapixel, Topaz Video, etc.?
I know itâs very confusing that there are 3 Topaz âStudioâ offerings and only the 1st two of them (which were products) had any commonality or similarity between them, and the 3rd is not a product at all but an umbrella name for a group of products that dropped âAIâ from their pre-Sept 2025 names + introâd assorted new Web products.
This is a picture of what i see when I go from LRC to Topaz Photo Ai. Inhave no choice for New Topaz Photo. It keeps telling me in the upper right corner that there is a New Topaz Photo. I click and update but the next time i go in from LRC to Photo Topaz Ai, the only choice i have, i see the same request. When i work with a photo, in Topaz Photo Ai, i see no difference in my edits. Definitly nothing close to your example of New Topaz Photo. Is Topaz Photo Ai and New Topaz Photo the same.
I still have , or see in LRC, the choice of Topaz Studio 2. Is New Topaz Photo the newst version of Topaz Studio 2? What is New Topaz Photo Ai . I have no choice for New Topaz Photo even though I have installed it several times.

Okay. Letâs step back to sort things out. So you know what you want to be working with. Then Iâll refer you to contact Topaz Support directly to deal with your personal situation. They can be reached at: help@TopazLabs.com.
Topaz Studio 1-2 have never been associated with Topaz Photo AI (legacy as of September 2025) or Topaz Photo (renamed ânewâ product in September 2025). Studio 1-2 were perpetual license products.
Question 1: Do you own or have an interest in using legacy Studio (1) or 2 products? They are now many years old.
As I mentioned , Studio (3) is a branding name for a collection of products. To use those products (which includes Topaz Photo, not Photo AI) you would have to buy an annual subscription to either the full suite (as a Founder) or one of the individual renamed products (like Topaz Photo).
Question 2: Did you buy a subscription to the newly rebranded subscription-only products? Do you want to be using the subscription products & just cannot access them from Lr?
Question 3: Do you only want to be using your older, Topaz Photo AI perpetual license product (Photo AI) via Lr? (It has nothing to do with any âStudioâ-named Topaz offering, if so).
Once you clarify those things, then it will be best for you to contact Topaz Support directly at the email I noted above to have them help you achieve your goal and resolve the issue youâre experiencing. This is mostly a user forum. They are Topaz staff. They will need to know the details of the system you use and the version of & how you use Lr.

I was under the impression Ritica, was asking about the original Topaz Studio 2 suspecting a compatibility issue with Windows or Mac simply because, Ritica posted âI canât install Topaz Studio 2.

Itâs so easy though, to get caught up with this Topaz naming confusion in fact Iâm often moving Posts around changing categories because, someoneâs either asking about Topaz Photo and posting under a Topaz Photo AI category or vice versa or even mentioning Topaz Photo AI when they really mean Topaz Photo itâs a similar story for both Topaz Gigapixel and Video not to mention Studio 1,2 and 3
You can currently understand why people are at Sixes and Sevens over these names especially for example, when it comes to Gigapixel
I think Gigapixel has been the worst, I think firstly we had the original Gigapixel then, AI Gigapixel then, Gigapixel AI then, Gigapixel 7&8 before coming back to Topaz Gigapixel (Studio)

Yes, Andy, the O.P. mixed their metaphors (as it were) and mentioned both Studio 2 and Photo AI.
So it wasnât entirely clear to me whether they couldnât access Photo AI from Lr (and was instead getting redirected to newer productsâ splash pages) and was wondering if rolling back to Studio 2 would solve their issue, or what. Thatâs what my little explanations and quizzes were about. 
Iâm sure the Topaz Spt folks will help the user sort it out! 
I guess, from my long ago product mgt and strategic planning career days in tech bizâs, I would have opted for different naming (and beta testing and UI layout and rollout) approaches. But, it is not my company. All I can try to do is help sort out (from my long tenure as a TL products user) what might be confusing to another user and be responsive in some way they can act on.
