Suppose you import a video encoded at 25 FPS. Then, you select a preset.
The output FPS is saved with the preset. Unfortunately, you can not choose to save an output FPS as “Same As Original.” It has to be a specific number.
Let’s say the preset was saved at 30 FPS. Topaz applies Frame Interpolation because the input is 25.
Now, if you set the output FPS to match the original, Frame Interpolation stays on, which is unnecessary.
Yes, but that is not the point I am making. The point is that Frame Interpolation is turned on automatically when I load a profile which has a different FPS than the input. When I change the output FPS to match the input FPS, Frame Interpolation stays on. It gets to be a pain turning it off when you have hundreds of videos and have to do this repeatedly.
Ok. So what we really need then is a “same as original” fps option so presets don’t change the output fps setting unnecessarily. Then no-one has to change the output fps back and frame interpolation won’t be turned on automatically.
