I downloaded The Video to test the noise reduction (Version 4.0.6)
But in the presets tab I can not select something like “noise reduction”.
All I can see is “Enhancement” but none of the AI Models does a noise reduction.

Try selecting the ‘Nyx’ model from the enhancement list. It is meant primarily for noise reduction.

I tried it but could not see any change. my video is a band which is very bright and the background is dark and very noisy.
Try adjusting the sliders for the model.
Most of the enhancement models do noise reduction to some extent so you can also try Proteus and Iris.

I have choses Nyx Model in manual mode an adjusted the slider to 50, now the noise reduction is done and similar to my expectation.

Try Iris also. Iris does heavily reduce noise.
Is there an overview of the models? To me this looks like an
IT engineering testing Software with too many options.
That is because videos are so different to each other that it takes IT engineering effort to find the perfect match. what works for one would not work for another and so on…
that is why there are few Enhancements AIs, to try and be versatile as much as possible. each AI learns the video in question and treat it differently due to the aforementioned fact that each video behaves differently. one AI could work very well on one video but you can’t say the same on another.
I know it is frustrating, trust me we all are, but that is the current level of technology we have. maybe in few years time a new magical tech would emerge which would do wonders to all types of videos, who knows.
I’m not sure what kind of noise you have. I use TVAI to denoise and upscale my movie collection so i can watch it on my big screen. Below the result of Gremlins.
For me these are the settings which give a very crisp and sharp image.
Depending on the movie i only change Artemis to Low or Medium
which version you using because the new versions doesnt have second enhancement ?
TVAI model NYX is invasive but can be usefull for some cases. You can do also pre-denoise before importing into TVAI, which I recommend if source is noisy. You can do this for example with Handbrake NLMeans filter.
Go to filter tab, choose NLMeans, select Filter intensitivity from Ultralow to High and Tune Model, most it’s “Grain” or “Film”
When best quality is important, you can encode it lossless, then quality settings has no function. Choose “H.265 (x265)” and type “lossless” into the “Advanced Options” box. Make sure on the output location is enough free storage space.
