How to force the app to deinterlace with Artemis

For some inexplicable reason, the app omits Artemis and some other models from the choices for interlaced video. This arbitrary omission can be overcome using the CLI, but here is another way:

  1. Select “Progressive” as the video type (even though it isn’t)
  2. Select Artemis and whatever other settings you want
  3. Save this as a preset
  4. Quit the app
  5. Find your preset file* and open with any text editor
  6. Look for the section “enhance” and change “videoType” from 1 to 0
  7. Save the file
  8. Run the app and apply your preset. NB if your preset is set as the default, temporarily select any other preset and select yours again
  9. Don’t worry that the UI now shows Dione DV (or maybe another from the “Interlaced” models). Artemis will be the model that’s used
  10. Export as usual

I’ve tried this on Mac and it works fine. Hopefully it should also work on Windows.
