How to fix VCOMP140.DLL missing?

I’ve been using Topaz Video Enhance 2.6.4 for a few years, and want to upgrade to the most current version 5.2.3.

I copied my TopazVideoEnhanceAI-2.6.4-windows-x64-Full-Installer.exe from my old PC to my new upgraded(more RAM, better CPU and GPU) to make sure it would run before I upgrade my license to 5.2.3

The install seemed to go fine, asking for my signon and password. On the last page of the install I checked the ‘run now’ box, and nothing happened. When I double-clicked on the desktop icon, it displayed a ‘VCOMP140.DLL not found’

I looked for it on my old PC and didn’t find it. I re-installed 2.6.4.—same issue, I re-booted…same issue.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!

I would recommend doing a full uninstall and cleaning of the registry files on the system.

Then go to the Video AI releases - community page and download a clean installer and try the install again. If that doesn’t fix it, email the support team directly at help@topazlabs.com so that we can investigate further.

You need to download https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=48145

This is the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.

Install both versions.
