it says my MacBook still compatible with up to 7.0.2 version. can I upload it somewhere ?
Hi.
Sorry Topaz Video AI 7 isn’t available to you with your Subscription however, I see you posted in another Topic about this and the answer you wanted was in the reply from Margaux, above yours
Here’s that reply again for you
The options Margaux, is referring to is you will be able to purchase the legacy Topaz Video AI 7 which includes access to Topaz Video AI 7.0.2
Please use this link and discuss your options
Hope this helps
Topaz - if you care to answer - is there any technical reason why you couldn’t grant anyone with an Intel Mac, a non-permanent licence for the old Topaz Video AI 7 for as long as the user is subscribed to the studio version (that they can’t use)? With my limited knowledge of how the authorisation and token works, that seems perfectly feasible to me.
Perhaps you would add a restriction on the provision of support, which would seem fair enough.
Maybe this coincides with one of those options you would discuss - which I’m sure others are also curious as to what they might be…
Thanks.
Andy
Yes, I’ve got a message from their customer service. There are two diffrent licenses. Licence for new Topaz Ai video doesn’t cover Video 7 version. They said I could buy it separately for 299. So that’s it. I just must add that they reacted genuinely and refunded me money last night for buying Video Ai as long as my intel macbook doesn’t fit.
I think generally lots of quite newish 2-3 years old laptops will need to upgrade if you need pro editing software these days. All new versions are packed with massive Ai robots and have tech requirements which few years ago were available mostly in top gaming laptops only. I see the same problem not only with Topaz
Hi Andy, it’s a technical limitation. Topaz Video (subscription) and Video AI (perpetual) are separate products with separate licensing systems.
We’re not able to conditionally grant Video AI 7 access that automatically expires based on a Studio subscription.
So to use Video AI 7, a perpetual license for that product would need to be purchased.
@milosz.ozieblowski If you are still interested in purchasing Video AI which will run on intel-based macs up to v7.0.2, feel free to reply to the support email and we can take care of that for you. You are also welcome to trial this version before deciding:
