Dock or not docked the menu opens to the left coving part of the image. would be much better to open on the right below , and not cover more of the image, after that is what is being edited not the menu

You can hide the full menu, when you open a tool it will not cover a big part of the image.

I realize that you can close the windows, but with the window closed you can’t make adjustments. So you end up opening and closing menu windows.
