Since there were so many kind words about this image, I thought I’d pass on the recipe: In Photoshop I duped the original on three layers, applied the below filters and then adjusted the layer opacity on each layer to the desired percentage. I find that I create my most dynamic effects by using this basic process of blending effects via layer opacity.

NOTE: Each of the filters / effects was customized:

  • Topaz filters > Simplify > Sketch > Sketch III
  • Topaz filters > Impression 2 > Impressionistic > Cezanne
  • Topaz filters > Adjust > Adjust 4 Preset List > Portrait Drama

Did you by chance save filters sets in each program ? If so I know there is a way they can be shared here on Topaz website but I have no idea how to do it .

Actually, ronlhodges, I only save a few customized filter settings and always end up adjusting those for each image, so there’s never really any universal settings for any given end result. I’m just playing in the sandbox and enjoying every minute of it.
