What is PAI 2? There is only Photo AI.

Hi, what’s your opinion on GPAI7 vs GPAI6? Is there a noticeable difference with the new version?
I did some tests on an AI-generated portrait that I made in DiffusionBee (M2 Mac Mini).
Here is GPAI 6 and 7 with different models (I used Fidelity v2 beta in 7 as it seemed best) without Face Recovery turned on in 7 as it is not fully implemented yet.
You can see the GPAI 6 settings; I cropped GPAI 7 because it’s not out yet, but the Settings were the same as 6.
Seems very close, I think I give 7 the edge even without Face Recovery.
BTW the pre-order special for Gigapixel 7 and the overall Topaz Holiday Sale both end in 2 days…

Today’s build of GPAI 7, Standard model, Face Recovery on, same Settings. Maybe a touch clearer than both examples above? Especially in curls at left.
Does anybody know if the issue of face restoration not working with many NVidia cards such as my 3080 will be fixed in GPAI 7? This bug has been persistent for ages, I have given up addressing support about it because I never ever was replied to. BTW, paying $$$ for a 12 month update slot and getting one, or even no, significant updates for the stand-alones is pretty appalling. For those who have GPAI or SAI the upgrade slot should have been extended for free until the next major update such as GPAI7. I shall probably end up paying $100 for GPA7 after my upgrade slot expired some time ago, the only significant update in this frame being GPAI 6.3 which is better modelwise but dropped face recovery for most of the newer NVidia cards.

Same, same. The individual products have been left out. I’m really not a fan of the all inclusive program. I just don’t use it even though I have it. Gigapixel is the reason I started using their products. The product support has focused on new programs rather than keeping up the more established programs. They do a great job with the video Ai modeling, alas Topaz sharpening and enlargement is not top of the heap anymore. I get better results with photoshop raw,
I see it the same way, I also wonder why I paid a lot of money for annual updates if there are no updates for a year. I’m not doing this anymore. There are now numerous AI-based upscalers that can be used either free of charge or at a reasonable price.
There is a new version currently in beta…
