Gigapixel v5.4.5

These are all of them since I reinstalled:
2021-01-08-21-33-1-Main.tzlog.txt (75.8 KB) 2021-01-08-21-33-1-QML.tzlog.txt (51.5 KB) 2021-01-08-21-34-53-Main.tzlog.txt (2.5 KB) 2021-01-08-21-36-56-Main.tzlog.txt (2.7 KB) 2021-01-08-21-38-11-Main.tzlog.txt (19.7 KB) 2021-01-08-21-38-11-QML.tzlog.txt (12.1 KB)

I am running Big Sur 11.1

Per app update instructions, I downloaded Gigapixel 5.4.1 full installer and installed. Launched app and spinning pinwheel.

Taylor,

I just uninstalled 5.4.0 (from my Win 10). Downloaded/installed 5.4.1.

I successfully launched & processed a few low res images (from Google Images) using GAI plugin within Ps 2021 (rel. 22.0.1).

This rev opens as an Automate plugin from Ps. And, returns my GAI-processed image to the Ps 2021 workspace. Knock on woodā€¦ with no crashes or launch delays.

Needless to say in that plugin implementation Iā€™m not working with prefixes or suffixes. And, not using the Crop functions that I mentioned earlier re: the standalone product.

Photoshop plugin functionality is back! We have normality. I repeat: we have normality.

So, in checking the version numbers, I apparently have a much newer version than the one you linked to. The one you have linked to is version 14.0.23036. The version I have installed on my computer is 14.23.27820. The installer for 14.0.23036 will not let me install because I have a newer version, and it requires me to uninstall it. Of course, I donā€™t want to uninstall it because I have programs which rely on the newer version, not the older version you linked to.

The latest version of Microsoft C++ is apparently 14.28.29325.

The latest redistributables are 14.28.29334 for Visual Studio 2019 apps, but it may be that the apps were built using Visual Studio 2015 and that link is the latest that support Visual Studio 2015 apps.

That makes sense, thanks. But what I currently have installed claims to be for 2015-2019, so itā€™s not clear why it wouldnā€™t work. Indeed, the older version of Gigapixel works, so why doesnā€™t the newer one? I think they may have fixed the issue, so I will try an installation later.

The crash on closing the app happens on macOS Mojave as well. The Photoshop plugin seems to work on macos (although it crashes on exit, too)

I have the exact same issue. Startupā€¦Blank window.
Win7pro
64G ram
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080

Thanks. Downloaded the new version today and itā€™s working fine as a standalone!

Hi,
Is the output image quality of using GPU and CPU identical now?

It is recommended you calibrate the processing through the preferences and the app will choose the optimum settings for processing.

Hi Don,

But is that an ā€˜optimumā€™ for Image Quality or for processing speed (or whatever the metric is)?

Processing speed, image quality will be the same.

Hi All
Does anybody know what the maximum size V5.4.1 will process before it crashes out.

I believe that if the result is larger than 32,000 pixels on the long side it wont be able to produce a result. But you would need one of the developers to confirm this.

Sounds about right without working out pixels but image was 76cm x 48cm @ 300dpi

Iā€™ve problems with images after they hit 30.000px in PS, its says that the image is broken.

The filesize of tiff is 4GB @ maximum.

So when increase the fine res of an image via downsampling i choose 29.999px as target.

No problems just now upscaling a panorama in standalone mode. I set it X4 but it downscaled to 32,000 pixels on the long side. It was a 32MB JPG image and took almost 25 minutes to process on my MacBook Pro running Big Sur.
The processed file at 470MB opened instantaneously in On1 Photo Raw 2021.

OMG, 25 min.

You should think about to get a Break away box with a GPU when you do things like this more often.

Sounds like it was running on your system on the CPU.
