I stumbled across this last night on windows under “general” tab of preferences I changed the first setting “AI Processor” from Auto to my video card (in my case NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060). It made an amazing difference in all processing speeds. I have tested several images both RAW and JPG, definitely real for me.
I was not one having crashes or real slow issues, somethings were very slow but workable (may not work for others) but something to test for sure.
