Unfortunately support for the A7R VI is not working at least if compressed raw is used. I still get the “unsupported file format” error

While v1.7.0 now supports ARW files for the Sony A7R Mark 6, it has not changed what Sony compression types we support. I have moved your request to be a feature request for the development team to look into supporting more compression types:

  • Supported: Large, Uncompressed, or Lossy Compressed RAW when importing Sony RAW files into Topaz Photo.
  • Unsupported: Compression Medium, Small or HQ are not supported.

You can ensure you use a supported compression format in your next shoots, and for files you have already shot, you can convert them to a non-compressed DNG or a non-RAW format and they will work in the app.
