Feedback | Super Focus Results

My original photo from 2022 is a very unique photo of an almost fully white skunk. I decided to make an 8X10 out of it and was going to upscale and SuperFocus it. When I SuperFocused it the head of the skunk seemed to transform to a dog’s head. It moved the eye quite a way and reshaped the head very subtley so the image looked more like a dog than a skunk. I did go back and remove the offending features from the superfocus area and came out with a presentable image.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad that masking the area helped you achieve the results you were looking for. In cases like this, using Upscale and Sharpen would generally be enough since the focus isn’t missed.

Super Focus is a powerful tool designed specifically for correcting missed focus, and using the selection menu to focus only on the areas that need enhancement while leaving out the over-processed parts can help preserve the details you want.

It sounds like the head transformation issue was caused by the tool trying to sharpen areas beyond the intended focus, but it’s great to hear you were able to resolve it with masking
