I’d like a simple “voume control” in Video AI 7. No fancy processing; that’s not what Video AI is for. it would be super useful to be able to have +3db, +6db +12db audio options, and the same for amplitude reduction.
I don’t want to come across harsh, but that functionality is already technically implemented in TVAI. It’s buried under learning the commands to make it happen through ffmpeg.
I do not think that Topaz Labs should spend any amount of time adding audio controls to TVAI, unless they’re going to go all the way and make enhancing AI models for it.
You didn’t come across harsh, @ForSerious. You came across knowledgeable about ffmpeg, and unwilling to share the knowledge.
Your opinion that Topaz Labs shouldn’t add the simple GUI function I requested is just as valid as my opposite opinion that they should. If I wanted AI audio enhancement I’d be talking with REAPER or iZotope folks, not the good Topaz Labs team.
I think the reason is because, Topaz Labs has not shown yet that they can make and fix features on the user interface with a high level of competence, much less commit to a user interface. If things were not like this, it would be a small ask, and not a worrisome potential for unresolved issues that last months or never get resolved.
