Feature request: “Apply Crop to All” Button in Crop Editing Mode

Feature Request: “Apply Crop to All” Button in Crop Editing Mode

To the Topaz Video AI Team,

I would like to submit a feature request regarding the crop editing workflow in Topaz Video AI. This improvement would significantly streamline multi‑clip projects and reduce repetitive manual operations.

Current Behavior

In the crop editing interface, two buttons are currently available:

  • Cancel

  • Apply Crop

These options work well for single‑clip adjustments. However, when working on projects containing multiple videos, the user must manually repeat the same crop values for each clip, even when the crop is identical across the entire project.

This becomes time‑consuming, error‑prone, and breaks the efficiency of batch processing.

Requested Improvement

I would like to propose adding a third button:

  • Cancel

  • Apply Crop

  • Apply Crop to All

Expected Behavior

When selecting Apply Crop to All, the crop values currently defined for the active clip should be automatically applied to every video in the project, without requiring manual repetition.

This would allow users to:

  • Maintain consistent framing across all clips

  • Avoid re‑entering identical crop values dozens or hundreds of times

  • Speed up batch workflows

  • Reduce human error and ensure uniformity in the final output

Why This Feature Matters

Many restoration workflows involve:

  • Removing identical overscan areas

  • Eliminating recurring black or vibrating lines

  • Standardizing aspect ratios across multiple clips from the same source

  • Preparing large batches for upscale or enhancement

In these cases, the crop values are often identical for all clips. Having a dedicated Apply Crop to All button would make Topaz Video AI far more efficient for professional‑level batch processing.

Summary

Adding an Apply Crop to All button would:

  • Improve workflow speed

  • Reduce repetitive manual actions

  • Ensure consistent results across multi‑clip projects

  • Enhance the usability of the crop editor for batch operations

This small UI addition would have a major positive impact on productivity for users working with large video libraries or restoration pipelines.

Best regards, Vincent.
