Feature Improvement | Make Control Sliders More Visible

Hi: Now that Photo is downloaded and working there is an issue that will drive me crazy. It is almost impossible to find the sliders to adjust processing. What the heck was wrong with the sliders being visible and easy to adjust? Now it is so fiddly. This is a step backwards.

In Photos, sliders now require you to hover over a tiny target first, then move your cursor down to the slider that pops up. This is more difficult to use than just having the sliders always be visit, at the expense of a little screen real estate. Please bring back permanently visible sliders, or at least make that an option.

Hi.

I don’t know if you’re using a mouse if that makes a difference but, you don’t have to be spot on target :bullseye: just nearby using a Pen or your Finger which is brilliant when using a Wacon Tablet or Touchpad and besides, less on-screen clutter.

I liked the zoom slider that was in the previous version of Topaz photo rather than the limited selection of values (i.e., 100%, 200%).

Yes, these sliders need to either be larger or graduated on the lower ends. It too tedious trying to get down to the single digits.

Thanks so much to all of you for sharing your feedback on the new slider behavior in Topaz Photo.

I’ve added these details to a feature request ticket we’ve opened with the development team for their consideration. It’s clear that while some users appreciate the cleaner UI, others find the hover-to-reveal interaction less intuitive or harder to use, especially when working with a mouse.

Your input helps us better understand the range of user preferences, and we’ll be sure the team takes this into account as they continue refining the interface.

Appreciate you all being part of the conversation :slightly_smiling_face:
