Face Restoration Performance Doesn’t Match Expectations

I recently purchased the new Topaz Video AI, largely because it was marketed as offering advanced face-restoration models (Iris). Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. A 2K reel upscaled to 4K took over an hour to process, yet the output quality was not usable for any serious work.

If you’re considering this tool specifically for reliable face enhancement, I would advise caution - in its current state, it does not deliver the level of quality required for professional results.

What model(s) did you use?

The processing times will rely on your computer hardware.

If you did not like the results with Iris, have you tried Rhea or Proteus?
