Usually you would be able to combine for example the “Gaia” Enhancement with the “Hyperion” (NOT 2) SDR to HDR modes.
But since “Starlight” and “Hyperion 2” are now defaults once you open these tabs, you can no longer combine other modes.
As soon as you set for example “Gaia” and then go to SDR to HDR, it closes the Enhancement Tab because it chooses “Hyperon 2” directly instead of “Hyperion” (NOT 2).
The same issue happens the other way around and makes my previous workflow absolutely unusable.
Solution: Either set other models as the default or remove the auto-closing of the tabs.
This has been reported before and is in the works by the devs to adjust the behavior in the app.
A current workaround is to select a different model under Enhancement, then enable Hyperion, and then go back to adjust the Enhancement model again to enable.
The workaround sadly doesn’t work. Whenever one goes to click either Enhancement or SDR to HDR, the first model is selected disabling the previous one.
You can does this but you might have to go back and forth a few times, mainly its to swap the Hyperion model to Hyperion v1 instead of Hyperion v2. Then it will allow an enhancement model to be applied at the same time.
Here is a video showing this and how I have to click back and forth. It is inconvenient but will work at this time, until the team can get the default options changed.
Thank you very much. Randomly switching between upscalers and going back and forth did the trick!
