Effectiveness of Topaz Photo AI

I have been using Topaz Noise and Sharpen for quite some time now. That being stated, I think the Topaz decision to no longer support these programs is a huge mistake. I have tried repeatedly to use Photo AI and have been very, very disappointed. I have looked at many YouTube videos and found many respected photographers that feel the same. Topaz Photo AI needs a lot of improvement in order for me to ever think of it as a primary editor for my needs. I loved the Topaz Noise and Sharpen programs and they were well integrated into my work flow. I have never been a fan of a one stop shop for editing photos and don’t understand why you would mess with great software to attempt to attract novice photographers that would be interested in such a program. Please rethink your decision.

Topaz Noise and Sharpen are mainstays in my workflow. I applied Photo AI 3.1.0b as an aftermath to a lot of TIF images that I previously completed. The images were created from scans of old color slides (with varying amounts of damage). The results varied from one case of worse, no difference, to varying degrees of improvement. I usually started in autopilot, followed by what I judged to be necessary individual enhancements. I agree that Photo AI needs a lot of improvement.
