When I go into Topaz Photo and try to click on Wonder beta, I get the message “Wonder beta is disabled because another instance of Wonder or Upscale is added. However, there IS no other instance of either Wonder or Upscale running. I went to Task Manager when I exited Photo and ran Photo again and still get the same message. Windows 11 pro. Photoshop 27.1. If I run Topaz Photo on its own, Wonder beta works fine. It is just when running Topaz Photo as a filter under Photoshop.
Hello @frodoboy - this will occur if you try to upscale with the Filter menu option, that is something Adobe prevents. No upscale or size change is possible in Filter. To use File > Automate instead, which can upscale. We mention this here.
Let us know how it goes using Automate!
Thank you, Ange! I never thought about trying it in Automate. It is really a great feature! But I also have Gigapixel (newest). Does Topaz Photo now include Gigapixel (maybe in Wonder?) or is it also still a standalone? I’m not sure if Photo now includes Gigapixel. I think it does but want to be sure. I really liked Gigapixel AI and also the newer Gigapixel.

Hi Patrick.
Topaz Photo does indeed contain many of Gigapixel’s features however, Topaz Photo as the name would suggest is more aimed towards Photography and as a result it contains Gigapixel’s Photo specific Upscaling features.
So yes, there is a certain amount of crossover between the two but, as I’ve already mentioned only those features related to Photography which includes the newer Standard MAX, and Wonder Models.
Topaz Gigapixel on the other hand, has a much wider Upscaling features set for upscaling everything else from small images, Photographs, Art Work, CGI Generated Images and everything else in-between and beyond.
Gigapixel even has the ability to Restore and Reimagine images with the Redefine Realistic and Creative Models.
Plus with both applications you have the flexibility to use them as Standalone or as a Plugin with applications like Lightroom, Photoshop or similar software.
Although, they both shear similar functionality and you could choose one or the other neither, will have the same range of operations as the other one so, for myself their both of equal importance which I use on a daily basis.
Here’s some additional information from Topaz
Hope this helps
