Education | Where To Post & What To Post

I’m confused by the “Closed” status of the GPAI 8.4.2 Topic ???

Have I missed an explanation somewhere ?
I am aware of the new Studio Transition Topic.

Where will any further Topaz notifications about GPAI 8.4.2 be posted?
The closed status seems to block any new postings or Topics about 8.4.2 as well as any user comments on previous posts ???
The GPAI Bugs Topic seems to still be active as does the GPAI 8.5.0.beta5 Topic …

I don’t understand whether this is a Topaz mistake or why the 8.4.2 Topic needs to be Closed ???
Grateful for any clarification.

Yes indeed, especially assincemany of will continue to use this version once Studio has been released and any rental we have been assigned has expired. There will still be topics we will want to discuss.

After an version update has been released for several weeks, if the feedback shared about that version doesn’t clearly indicate whether the update is suitable for interested users (a few days later from release or up to 2-weeks tops), some users may never understand or just get it.

Additionally, some users have complained about off-topic discussions in that thread; even though it’s been open for months. At this point, what useful information could realistically still come from it, other than off-topic conversation? I’ve never fully understood the criticism of meaningful off-topic discussions. Some of the best ideas have emerged from those very exchanges.

Hello!

Posts about specific releases are appropriate for the specific release thread while they’re open. After a period of time if the discussion devolves into unrelated posts, the thread might get closed. Threads might also get closed as a new release is being prepared to go live.

v8.4.3 has since been released and any posts specific to that build & version can now be posted there.

For discussions sharing results and workflow, please post in the General forum. This would include general observations about model behavior and results that don’t directly involve a specific release.

Feedback and requests are welcome in the Ideas forum.

Let us know if you have any questions about where a specific post should be created.
And when in doubt, create a new post in General and we’ll move it to where it belongs.

Thanks :folded_hands:
