Education | Topaz Photo Results

Just downloaded Topaz photo ai and the removel tool is way behind photo shop… sharpen, denoise, most of everything els is way out of date regarding other software capabilities.

was hoping i would get better results than what I already have i.e… light room, gigapixel Ai and photo shop.

I am already paying for topaz Gigapixel so waisting my money on somthing that suposed to be better is a big waist so for that reason I will be giving it back to you within the 7 days trial period.

Sorry I gave it a go but its not good enough yet for me Thanks anyway….

shame we can’t send a clip with this to better explain like other companies have.

Hi Andrew.

I don’t work for Topaz but, this seems a little strange to me as Topaz Photo overall is way ahead of the game when it comes to Image Enhancements would it be possible to post some before and after images and an explanation of your Workflow during processing your image.

Just downloaded Topaz photo ai and the removel tool is way behind photo shop… sharpen, denoise, most of everything els is way out of date regarding other software capabilities.

Removal Tool: I can’t speak for the Removal Tool as I haven’t used it much preferring an Adobe Nondestructive Workflow basically I can always go back to any stage within the process.

Denoise: I have to admit amongst all the Denoiseing Software out there there’s very little to choose between them it very much depends on an image content which one is better or not then, again I could be just Pixel Peeping.

Sharpen: Topaz Sharpen, is the by far the Standard when it comes to Sharpening with a wealth of options to choose from 9 different AI Models plus Super Focus and Wonder not including the increasing the details during Upscaling.

was hoping i would get better results than what I already have i.e… lightroom, gigapixel Ai and photo shop.

Something isn’t right so, please again would it be possible to post some before and after images.

Topaz Gigapixel: Gigapixel, is excellent at what it does Professional Upscaling from Images to Art but, other than Upscaling it not really suited for Photography.

Topaz Photo: Topaz Photo, as it’s name implies, is entirely suitable for Photography with Super Focus, Refocus Motion Blur, Lens Blur, Portrait & Wildlife Sharpening and a hole lot more

Sorry I gave it a go but its not good enough yet for me Thanks anyway….

Sorry but I beg to differ, because, when Adobe wanted to implement Industry Leading Partner Models within Photoshop they certainly didn’t goto the Topaz competitors only Topaz.

shame we can’t send a clip with this to better explain like other companies have.

Before you go, may I suggest speaking to Topaz Support via email because you can send them an example and they will process it for you and tell you the Enhancements and Settings to get the best results.

I don’t have a Photoshop license, but PS Express, Capture One, On1, DxO, and Luminar Neo plus HitPaw and a couple of more. When it comes to blurry (far distant and/or slightly out of focus and/or sometimes motion blurred) and noisy photos, my usual process is cropping/color correcting in Capture One (that’s where it’s better than Topaz), exporting to Topaz Photo and applying Superfocus (in varying settings) and Upscaling or Wonder. I am often amazed what Topaz Photo can do with material I thought useless at the outset.

None of my other programs have been able to provide better results than Superfocus or Wonder. In the best case, results are comparable, but that’s rarely the case.

Sometimes, I even use Remove (maybe repetitive) with good success, if objects are not too extended.

That’s me - I understand your experience may differ, of course.

Kind regards, Michael
