Hello All. I am using LrC 14.3 and Topaz AI 3.6.2. After editing a raw photo, I want to send it over to Topaz by clicking File>Plug-in Extras>Process with Topaz Photo AI. The photo will open in Topaz but none of the edits from LrC are visible. If I right click and choose Edit In>Topaz Photo AI>Edit a Copy w/LrC adjustments. It creates a tiff and opens with the edits. This just started with the most recent updates of both LrC and Topaz. Does it really matter which way I get there?
@kmichellejenkins - Photo AI never was able to read xmp files (includes the RAW edits you make in LrC) and this means that no matter the version, using File > Plug-in Extras never put the LrC changes in Photo AI. The RAW workflow is to send an unedited RAW file as Photo AI cannot read them, it can only read the file as shot in camera. Once the DNG is back in photo AI, then you can do your color/light/crop edits. If these are already done, you can copy/paste them or sync them from the original RAW to the DNG that is back from Photo AI. The Edit in workflow flattens your whole file and edits yes, but you send a TIF version of your file to Photo AI, you lose RAW capabilities and lose access to the very important RAW Denoise.
If you want to test for yourself, you can test any Photo AI version, the behavior will be the same: Releases - Topaz Community
