Education | How To Adjust Selection Option With Super Focus Enhancement

What’s happened to the Auto Selection mask, there 's no custom selection button, when I select Subject it’s selecting things that don’t need selecting and making a real mess of the image.

Hi.

Select Subject can sometimes get confused especially when it comes to a busy image for instance, if there’s a large number of people or objects to choose from Select Subject may select the wrong person or object or maybe the subject you want is to one side Select Subject might pick a different subject

All is not lost though, here’s how to customise your selection

  1. Open Photo AI with the image you want to enhance.

  2. Next select Super Focus now choose one of the Selection options from the drop down list

  3. Click on the blue Render button to process the image

  4. Once the image has processed Click on the Super Focus within the stack on the right hand side inside the Sidebar Enhancements panel

  5. The options for Super Focus will appear left of the Sidebar panel and select the Edit Selection tab

  6. Within the Edit Selection tab you’ll be able fine tune and customise your original selection including using the Selection Brushes

Hope this helps

Super focus needs to not focus the entire image. Masking is needed to remove the background, so it is not super focus. Photoshop is a work around, but it would be nice if it just focuses the subject such as a small bee or bird

Hi.

This ability is now possible with the latest version and more

After selecting Super Focus V1 or V2 you now have the choice of selecting from the Auto Selection Menu which includes the following All, Subject, Background, Portrait, Landscape, and sky

But that’s not all, you also have the ability to fine tune your Selection after the image has been processed with the added bonus of using the Selection Brush

Hope this helps

thanks, I see that.
