Education | Can Photo AI Be Used Offline?

Hail all:

Next week, I will be hospitalised for 2 weeks.
The hospital has a very poor internet connection where internet is available, but 60% of the hospital is not internet-covered.
I have TP-AI 3.2 installed on my Laptop, but seeing 60% of the hospital does not have internet coverage, it is very likely to assume, I will not be one of the lucky, ending up in an internet-covered room.

I do Photo-Enhancement work for various people, and without TP-AI … I am dead-stuck.
Not to mention, the insane boredom of being hospitalised for 2 weeks, with nothing to do.
Severe Asperger’s and severe ADHD makes that part unbearable … . |very sad face|

And thus, the question:
Will I be able to use TP-AI 3.2, if, in this scenario, I will be without internet connection?
If not, is there a way to be able to still use TP-AI 3.2 without internet connection?

Thank you beforehand:
Sammy.

Photo AI does not need continuous internet. However, you’ll need to log in initially and approximately every six months to verify your ownership.

You’ll also need a connection for model downloading, which adds each model to your computer for later use. You can do this immediately from the prompt when you first install, recommend, or one at a time as you go to save space on your computer.

In essence, the products will need access to the Internet from time to time, although not each session, if you download all of the models right away.

When you know you will be working offline, you can log out, log back into your app, and click activate to reset the 6-month authentication request.

Thank you, kind sir.

One additional question, though:
Please elaborate on:
“You’ll also need a connection for model downloading, which adds each model to your computer for later use. You can do this immediately from the prompt when you first install, recommend, or one at a time as you go to save space on your computer.”
The prompt … during Install?
Or do I need to do this in the program, if so, how do I do this?
Or can I download the packages, and install these manually?

Thank you aforehand:
Sammy.

This will occur during the initial installation process. My apologies on the wording regarding the prompt, this should be more worded as a stage or step of the installation process.

In an ever increasing environment of security vulnerabilities, why is it necessary to keep connecting my device to the internet to activate the product?
Once installed on a workstation, I do not want that device to have anything more than local network access. Allowing for any incoming connections can compromise security in a completely negligent way.
Updates can be distributed via flash drive through a signed file that checks against the original installs key, meaning they can disable illegitimate software without needing a connection, so I don’t see this as a necessary protection against piracy. I do not wish to share “user metrics” or any other forms of data beyond the initial activation.
Until this is fixed I refuse to use the product due to security concerns that could compromise customers. This is very unfortunate as i was interested in purchasing the video ai product but its only offered as a subscription meaning its utterly useless.
