Spontaneous termination of work when enlarging images starting on Gigapixel AI 8.2.2. Sometimes clearing the cache helps. Tech support can’t help with the problem (the conversation lasted about a month). Problems processing 300+ images. The problem continues on Topaz Gigapixel 1.0.1 @ macbook pro 16/M1pro/16/512+external ssd kingston 1tb (the same problem was reproduced macbook air 13/m1/8/256)
Hello,
Issues with batch processing are usually due to hardware limitations.
We recommend processing smaller batches and staying within the limits of your system’s abilities.
Adding more images to the batch can overwhelm your computer and result in issues.
If you encounter issues with small batches or single images, share your logs with the support team by attaching them in a message addressed to help@topazlabs.com.

The error occurred on the 50th file in the list, after which it processes 300+ files without errors.
Thanks for that detail.
Are all the files of the same color mode, color profile, bit depth, and format?
Is there something unique about the failed image or the applied settings to that image?
To investigate further, could you share your application logs with us in a message to help@topazlabs.com?
- Launch Gigapixel and go to Help > Open log folder
- Look for the Logs folder, right-click, and compress it
- After compressing, attach that .zip file to your reply
Attach those logs in an email to help@topazlabs.com, or use the help button at the top right of the application window.

Are all the files of the same color mode, color profile, bit depth, and format? - Yes
Is there something unique about the failed image or the applied settings to that image? - No (on the second attempt - it is processed successfully)
I have already sent the application log to help@topazlabs.com multiple times since March 18, 2025 (title of the letter: “Gigapixel AI 8.2.2 closes spontaneously”). Usually the image isn’t saved, here’s an example where it was saved
Version 8.4.4 is more stable, and errors occur quite rarely (one error in 1500-3000 images). Version 1.0.2 is unstable, and errors occur approximately 1 in 300 images.
