For people who edit on PC and Linux, this would be great! DNxHR is widely supported in production community and I would rather see this format supported than H.265 output.
Not against it, per say, but why? ‘Everything’ supports H265, these days; DNxHR not so much.
I’d rather see VEAI just give us lossless H265.
I don’t see the point for lossless H265, H265 is a nightmare to edit in any NLE.
DnxHR is great but I believe it is not free and requires a licence from AVID.
The point of lossless H265 is the same as that of lossless H264, only smaller. 
As intermediate format, ProRes 422 HQ suffices now for me, though.
