Building a new PC, and one of its main functions will be photo enhancement inside Topaz Photos. What CPU/GPU combo should I get? I assume Topaz is more GPU dependent than CPU? If so, would getting a 5090 vs a 5060 or 5070 get me a much better performing PC? Or just one that’s marginally better? I see benchmarks on the Video subforums, but none of the Photo apps.
If you’re not doing thousands of photos or are extremely inpatient a 5090 IMO is totally overkill.
So, if you don’t have money to burn maybe a 5080 or 5070TI would be a sweet spot / good compromise between speed and cost.

I am buying a new machine which will meet suggested requirements for VRAM etc, I just want to know if the 8600g chip will allow Topaz photo AI to perform more quickly than if I choose the 7600X chip or can anyone suggest another in that price range? I suggest the 8600g since it has an NPU which is supposed to take processing away from the GPU/CPU.
If your only upscaling photos now videos get a 4060 TI 16gb or a 4070 TI Super. I had a 4060 TI 16gb it took 45 seconds to 8 min uspcaling image with a porgram called Upscayl.
