Crashing and Hanging Oh My!

I’m a new user to TV and I don’t know where to start this bug report. This product crashes on me all the time.

Just now opened a project, boom, TV is gone. Running the queue, it just hangs, sits there with 3mins remaining for hours. UX hangs and repaints and goes back into the main screen randomly. The model manager quits with connection errors every other time I try to download something. I mean, come on the “Quick Start Link” at the bottom of the program links to a page that says: “this page refers to a legacy version of the program”.

Sure, when it does work, some of the results are great. But I’m not sure I have the patience with the UX and the crashes to make it work? Now regretting the purchase.

I’m running the very latest TV: 1.04. It says no updates available. I’m running Windows 11 25H2, with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-Core Processor, it has 128gb of ram, the graphics card is an Nvidia RTX 6000 Pro Blackwell with 96gb of Vram. I’ve got 10gb ethernet and 2gb internet. Everything has the latest drivers, there is nothing but Edge running on the machine. It should be the perfect machine for TV to fly.

What am I doing wrong?

Can you send the logs to the support team for review into the crashes and errors? help@topazlabs.com

The RTX 6000 cards are still being worked on to improve performance and their efficiency by the devs.

I guess. Looking through the logs, there’s lots of info I’m not sure I want to share. Let me see if I can find a reliable test case of crashing and isolate that in the logs.

I recommend delete all log files, then reproduce the errors and new fresh log files gets written, then take all log files and send them ziped to Topaz support

I’ve decided that perhaps the issue is my 6000, so I’ve got a Mac Studio here that I’m going to try to get it working on. So far, it hasn’t crashed on me once, so that’s a good sign. I’ll report back.
