Is there a CPU Recommendation? AMD Threadripper or Intel Xeon?
It’s hard to say at this point. Both of those types are significantly slower than more general use CPUs.
How many GPUs are you imagining to use with TVAI?
I wonder if that’s still true once you throttle Intel 13th and 14th gen processors down to Intel’s recommended “stable” motherboard settings…
If Threadripper, be sure to get a motherboard that can handle very high RAM frequency + low latency, this is a major bottleneck.
If your Threadripper will work à 2800 or 3000, you may turn toward Intel’s
Also Threaripper is very hungry in watt, but if you got access to waterccoling or waterchilling, you’ll get some insane extra power, that Intel can’t access

Server/workstation CPUs like Xeons and Threadrippers typically trade speed for stability and energy efficiency.
Yes. I would recommend AMD Ryzen™ 9 7900X or 7950X. Don’t get the 3D VCache versions. I thought the 9000 series was supposed to be out, but I guess not. It should be soon though.

Unless you get the 8 core one, they cause loads of problems. But for TVAI, you want at least 10 cores.
They are highly un-overclockable and generate a lot of heat
