same issue, seems to be on their end

Me, too. It is pretty infuriating. Looks as if GPAI repeatedly checks online for valid login data and fails, since this happened in the middle of using the software. If so, using the software offline would be impossible, very much in contradiction to the narrative that the current version is “owned” once paid.

thanks for that info, I was just about to do this, but with the size of the models and whatnot… Im glad you wrote. Thank you

Same here. Server side issue with license authentication, I assume? My login does nothing.

same, login seems to do nothing… ouch on the timing of this

I just got this email

URGENT:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is having an outage that affects our login, authentication, app downloads, and model downloads features. If you are having trouble with your apps right now, this is the most likely cause. Once AWS service is restored, your app should return to normal function unless there is an unrelated conflict.

Wow. Why in hell would a piece of software that allegedly is “owned” when paid perform a license check online in the middle of a session?

Inrespective of whose login servers have gone round the bend, this should not be possible to happen. An online license check once a month - so be it, though still contradictory to the narrative “owned when paid”. But getting kicked in the middle of a session is appalling.

BTW, Sharpen AI still seems operational.

Glad to see that I’m not the only one with this issue.
Thought that the software did not rely on online authentication to run.

but that means paying them MORE money… I wont do it

Exactly, and as far as I remember, that (i. e. GPAI being able to permanently run offline after having registered for once) was what the devs promised to prospective customers. That is not an issue I take lightly. Screwing up (undisclosed) online authentication apparently renders the software useless. I think Topaz Labs owes us not only a timely restitution of the operability of our(!) piece of software but as well an update - free of charge! - that makes it no longer rely on online license checks.
