Cleaning Up Video

Trying to clean up a noisy low quality video using Topaz Video 1.5.0.

Tried several different video models to clean the video, but not really getting good results.

Because I only have 8GB of video memory, I am unable to download/run Starlight. So I am limited to using the several AI models apart from Starlight.

Can anyone please suggest suitable model(s) and settings to clean up the video?

Sample clip enclosed.

I did something quickly. But the problem is not noise, but scratches and other artifacts of the old movie. Topaz Video does not repair this.

If you have a Studio license, you can also change the video to images and check the Topaz website to use the option to repair old photos.

A clean copy of this Laurel and Hardy film (‘Blotto’) is available on YouTube. Only the extended version has the scene you posted.

Comments noted, thanks.

Processing the video as separate images could take quite a long time as there are many hundreds if not thousands of frames to be processed. I’m not sure this is the best way to go?

The sample clip is taken from the “extended” version of Blotto. But as far as I’m aware, there are no clean or clearer extended video versions available apart from the video that I have. There are clearer videos of Blotto, but they are shortened versions only as far as I know, and don’t include extended scenes.
