Can you have multiple previews queued?

I just switched from version 5 (I think) to version 7 – it’s the first one I have worked with that has tabs, I guess, and I find it very confusing. I am getting used to most of it, but I can’t figure out previews. if I adjust the models and have it render a preview, that works fine, but if I then alter the model and tell it to render a preview while the first preview is rendering (5 seconds), it stops that first preview. Is that normal or am I missing something? I liked with the old version how I could set up 10 previews, then come back 10 minutes later and compare the rendered previews. I feel I am missing something.

Yes, you should be able to open multiple tabs, set each tab to the desired model and settings and then go back and hit render on each one of them and it will render them all in order.
