John (@cre8art) and Joe (@JoeFedric-TL) - I have discovered somewhat of a work around the alignment issue, that I will use until it gets fixed. Always make a second layer of the image. Then apply AI ReMix much stronger than you wish to end up with it. Then when back in PS use the arrow keys to move the AI layer a small amount until you are satisfied that it now overlaps. Then you can use a % of that blended into the bottom layer. Not ideal, but I have taken some AI up to 80% with good resolution.

No need! 1.8.4 released today with a fix for the alignment issue. Update, and you’ll be good to go!
