HDR done in AP from 3 x 5D Mk 3 images using a 12-24mm Sigma lens @ 12mm, finished in Studio using Textures … that gives 112 x 90 degrees at extreme close up.

the latest thinking is that the advantages are small for the costs involved
There is one great advantage … crop …
But a great APS-C such as the 7D Mk 2 has everything except the pixel dimensions.
