Initial processing in LR followed by a trip to Adjust. In Studio 2 used an Impression filter and finally an AIRemix filter with soft light blending mode at reduced opacity. Second image is without the AIRemix effect for comparison. Subtle but I thought a nice boost to the lighting dynamics. Third image is the image used for the painting.
Note the redish trees are not some fall color, rather they’re dead lodge pole pines killed by bark beetles.
