Artifacts & vertical Banding in Topaz Video AI 1.2.0 (Gaia HQ)

Hi all,

I’m seeing vertical lines/artifacts and banding when 2x upscaling a 4096 x 4096 video (60 fps ProRes 422 HQ) to 8192 x 8192 (60 fps ProRes 422 HQ) in Topaz Video AI 1.2.0 .

Interestingly, the same video processed with the old Topaz Video AI 7.1.5 looks much better, suggesting the new version may be introducing this issue with the model Gaia HQ.

I’m using macOS 15.7.3 (Apple M4 Max, 128 GB RAM).

Has anyone encountered this, or are there recommended settings/workarounds to fix it?
