It would be a nice to be able to set the background color to something other than “black” as when you’re using the cropping tool you want to easily be able to determine where the black boarder ends and where the gui begins so you don’t “over crop”.

i think its pretty self evident, but since you wanted a better example, i made one using pictures to explain the issue and how much easier it would be to use the cropping tool if we could just modify the background color (i used photoshop to zoom in and make pixel perfect selection and replace the gui with a green color to see exactly where the edge is between gui and video)
i cannot for the life of me find this setting, i am looking in preferences > application > general, am i blind?
