Hello, I urgently need help! As of today, I can no longer work with the program, because an advertising window is blocking access to my Topaz desktop application. I am logged in, but I cannot do anything to dismiss this window and finally access the workspace.
My production workflow has been interrupted as a result; I request a quick resolution!
Important note: I purchased the program as a desktop application several months ago; I do NOT need a subscription!
Ah, I understand the problem. I am the owner of a perpetual license. However, the accompanying one-year subscription expired yesterday. But why does Topaz still allow me to download updates, that I am no longer entitled to? I received no notification stating, that I can only use these updates while my subscription is active. As a result, I ended up locking myself out of the software and had to perform a complete reinstallation. I would appreciate it if this process were handled differently in the future.
Now I have logged into my account, downloaded the file I originally purchased (which was stored there), and reinstalled the program. The version in question is 7.1.5 and it is running correctly.
Is this the exact version from back, when I originally purchased the perpetual license? Or does it include all the updates released over the past year – the updates, that I had been receiving periodically?
In short: What is the exact build status of the software I just downloaded from my account?
You will need to Uninstall the Subscription version as the two will sit on your computer side by side
Downloading Updates is universal therefore, you can certainly Download them but, you can’t use them without paying the Subscription so, don’t worry about being accidentally charged.
In addition, you will see a prompt within 7.5 asking you to Upgrade this is Topaz hopping one day you’ll Update the software and with this version it will always remain there however, if you wish to remove remove this prompt then, Download and Install Version 7.4 here’s the link
No need to Uninstall, Remove or Delete 7.5 as this will be taken care of during the Installation
May I just say, are you aware because, your Licence was Active during the transition to Subscriptions you can actually have the Subscription version for same price as the Perpetual License Upgrade $149 not the $299 Subscription price and that price is fixed for as long as you maintain your Subscription.
If you’re interested here’s the link to contact the good people at Topaz Support directly and simply ask the question
Ah, okay. In that case, I misunderstood the offer back then.
Typically, when you purchase software that includes updates for a year, you can continue using it at the version level it had reached by the time that year-long period expires. However, I certainly didn’t expect, that I would lose all the updates from the entire past year, if I didn’t renew my subscription. That is a real shame. The initial purchase price was already high enough; I certainly won’t be willing to shell out another $149 now. I guess I’ll just have to keep working with this severely outdated version of 2025.
